St James Community Support and Advice Centre

For thirty years, St James’ Church has provided a range of advice services for members of the local community through its Community Support and Advice Centre. The Centre operates from its offices in St James Church. It has a proud tradition of helping those in need of advice, reassurance, and assistance. Our four advisers, together with the support staff and volunteers, handle over 5,000 cases each year, giving advice mainly on immigration, benefits, welfare rights, and housing issues.
The opening hours are 10.30 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday. A drop-in session is available on Thursdays from 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm when clients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. At other times, clients are seen by appointment.
