CAN DO 4:13
CAN DO 4:13 is a charitable company (reg number 1141676) which was established in 2011 to:
- help needy people in the Parish of Aston and Nechells;
- encourage Christians to live out the teachings of Jesus as they relate to community development and community cohesion;
- promote religious and racial harmony.
As well as expressing a “can do” mentality, the name has other significance. CAN stands for ‘Communities of Aston and Nechells’, ‘DO’ stands for ‘Dreams and Opportunities.’ 4:13 relates to a verse from the Bible which expresses our reliance on Jesus, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ (Philippians 4:13)
The name shows who the charity is for and what it aims to help realise in those communities. Its also about helping local communities develop solutions for themselves.
The company’s secretary is Mr Nigel Cripps
Under the charity’s heading a new initiative has been started (Foodbank) as well as the reopening of the St James Advice Centre. For more information, click the links below.
